Like all other creatures, God made the angels. The Bible’s opening paragraph unapologetically states: “In the beginning. God created.” (Genesis 1:1). The Book of Colossians gives further clarity when it says, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Colossians 1:16). Angels were some of God’s “all things.” When Jesus walked among humankind God had made Jesus a little lower than the angels (Hebrews 2:7).
